MANHATTAN, Kan. - The Kansas State men's basketball team is returning to the Sprint Center in Kansas City for the third straight season and tickets for the Thanksgiving weekend contest go on sale to the general public on Saturday, athletics officials announced today.

Tickets for the Saturday, Nov. 28 matchup against IUPUI in the Holiday Classic presented by Subway are priced at $25. Fans may purchase tickets at all Ticketmaster outlets, by calling Ticketmaster at 816.931.3330 or online at Ticketmaster.com. A limited number of tickets are available through the K-State Athletics Ticket Office.

K-State students may purchase tickets at a special price of $10 at the Athletic Ticket Office beginning Monday, Nov. 9.

In addition, athletics officials announced that tipoff for the game has been moved up 30 minutes to 3 p.m., to accommodate the FOX Sports Kansas City television broadcast. The game was originally scheduled to start at 3:30 p.m.

"This is a great opportunity for our fans and alumni in the Kansas City area to see us play in a world-class arena," said head coach Frank Martin. "Kansas City is an area that has always been important to our program dating back to the conference holiday tournament and will continue to be as we build this program."

The game marks the third consecutive year that the Wildcats will play a non-conference game at the 18,897-seat arena, which will host the 2010 and 2011 Phillips 66 Big 12 Championships.

Kansas City has been an integral part of the history of the Kansas State program, playing host to the conference holiday tournament for nearly 40 years from 1943 to 1979 and to 28 Big Eight/Big 12 postseason conference tournaments between 1977 and 2008. The city has also served as the host for eight of the Wildcats' NCAA Tournament games, including the 1948 and 1964 Final Fours.

"K-State is committed to having a strong presence in the Kansas City area," said athletics director John Currie. "This game is another example of how much we value our alumni and fan base in this area and we look forward to seeing the Sprint Center packed with purple."

Single-game tickets for K-State's other 10 non-conference games are also currently on sale.

Season ticket sales remain strong with less than 500 remaining. There are a variety of season ticket packages, starting at $320 for bench seating.

The most convenient way to order tickets is online at www.k-statesports.com. Tickets may also be purchased in person at the K-State Athletic Ticket Office in Bramlage Coliseum or by calling toll-free, (800) 221.CATS.

The Wildcats tip off the season against Pittsburg State at 3 p.m., Sunday, Nov. 8, with their only exhibition game at Bramlage Coliseum. The regular season opens on Friday, Nov. 13 when the squad plays host to Loyola Chicago at 7 p.m.
