Tough, hard-nosed defensive end with a motor that never quits... Had a solid junior campaign and could position himself for starting duties with a strong spring... Has played just four years of organized football.

2007: Tough, hard-nosed defensive end with motor that never quits... Played in all 12 games, starting 8... Earned first start of career against Auburn, totalling 2 tackles... Was a force against Texas, recording 2 tackles and tipping 2 throws that resulted in K-State interceptions... Followed that up with a 5-tackle performance against Kansas... Had 4 tackles and recorded his first sack of the season against Colorado... Also forced a fumble against the Buffaloes... Made 3 tackles, including 1 for a loss, at Oklahoma State... Registered 3 tackles, including 1 sack for a loss of 12 yards against Baylor... Totalled 3 tackles, including 1 for a loss, at Iowa State... Recorded 4 tackles, including a career-best 1.5 for losses, against Missouri.

2006: Appeared in 12 games at defensive end... Collected nine tackles, including 3.5 for losses, with one sack, one fumble recovery and one forced fumble... Over 30 percent of his tackles came in the opponent’s backfield... Got off to a slow start after battling mono during training camp... Saw his first career action in game No. 2 vs. Florida Atlantic... Had three tackles, one for a loss, against the Owls... Collected tackles for losses against Florida Atlantic, Baylor, Oklahoma State and Missouri... Lone sack on the year came at Baylor.

Junior College: A first team All-California Region IV selection as well as a unanimous first team All-Mission Football Conference pick as a sophomore at El Camino College... Collected 50 tackles (40 solo) during the 2005 regular season, helping El Camino to a 10-0 record and a berth in the state playoffs... Finished the regular season with 19 tackles for loss, including 9.5 sacks... TFL total ranked second in the Mission Conference, while sack total was good for third in the league... Played five games at tight end as a freshman before switching to defensive end... Totaled 13 tackles, seven sacks and one forced fumble during 2004... Played for 2005 Region IV Coach of the Year John Featherstone.

High School: Had 22 catches for 300 yards and three touchdowns as a senior tight end at Morningside High School... Helped the Monarchs to a 12-2 record... Coached by Mike McCarthy... Also played basketball and volleyball... Named team MVP and All-Pioneer League in volleyball.

Personal: Moses Manu was born Oct. 24, 1985, in Tonga... Parents are John and Letisia Manu... Live in New Zealand from age 2-12 before his family moved to Australia... Came to the United States at age 16... An outstanding rugby player as a youth... Played just one season of organized football before joining the squad at El Camino College... An honor roll student in high school... A social science major.
