2006: Played in 12-of-13 games, making 10 starts... Finished second on the team in receptions with 36 for 358 yards... Had at least one reception in 12 games, including seven games with three or more catches... Led the team in receptions four times... Averaged 9.9 yard per grab...  Needed just five games to surpass his reception total for all of 2005... Caught five passes for a season-high 53 yards in the season-opener against Illinois State... Also had 53 yards receiving on three catches against Texas... Snagged four balls for 48 yards against Nebraska... Caught a career-high seven passes for 27 yards at Baylor... Totaled two receptions for 20 yards in the Texas Bowl against Rutgers.

2005: Appeared in all 11 games, starting eight... Worked as K-State’s primary tight end... Ranked fifth on the team in both receptions (13) and receiving yards (160)... Had at least one catch in seven of the final eight games of the season... Hauled in lone touchdown grab on a spectacular catch in the corner of the end zone at Oklahoma... Also tallied a two-point conversion vs. the Sooners... Recorded a season-high three receptions against both Colorado and at Iowa State... Totaled a season-best 59 receiving yards vs. the Cyclones.

2004: Played in all 11 games... Made first career start in a two-tight end formation against Iowa State... Hauled in first career reception against Kansas on a 7-yard grab.

2003: Redshirted.

High School: Started and lettered three seasons at Schlagle High School... Ranked second among Kansas prospects by Rivals.com... Also ranked 19th nationally among tight ends and 60th in Rivals’ Midlands Top 100... SuperPrep All-American... Ranked 18th among Midlands prospects by SuperPrep... Ranked third nationally among “Jumbo Athletes” by SuperPrep... An all-state, All-Kansas City Metro and all-league selection as a senior... Had 24 catches for 450 yards and four TDs... High school coach was Steve Szczygiel... Also lettered three seasons in basketball.
