Kansas State, currently atop the Big 12 North standings, returns home to begin the month of November as rival Kansas visits Bill Snyder Family Stadium for the 107th edition of the Sunflower Showdown.

The game, which kicks at 11:30 a.m., will be televised nationally by VERSUS as Ron Thulin (play-by-play), Kelly Stouffer (analyst) and Lewis Johnson (sideline) will have call. A live audio broadcast is also available across the K-State Sports Network, online at www.k-statesports.com and on SIRIUS satellite radio.

K-State and Kansas are both coming off road losses on Saturday and will be meeting for the 107th time in the series. Though Kansas holds a 65-36-5 edge in the all-time series and have won three straight, K-State is 13-4 against the Jayhawks under Bill Snyder and 9-4 during the Big 12 era. Also, under Snyder, K-State has won the past eight games of the series played in Manhattan.

A QUICK LOOK AT THE WILDCATS
K-State, coming off a valiant effort at No. 22 Oklahoma last weekend, will look to improve to 5-0 on the season at home against rival Kansas on Saturday.

The Wildcat offense put up 30 points and 364 total yards last weekend, both season-highs against a stout Sooner defense. Quarterback Grant Gregory continues to grow comfortable in the offense, while running back Daniel Thomas and wide receiver/kick returner Brandon Banks continue to make their case for All-America honors. Thomas has continued to carry the load offensively and is approaching 1,000 yards rushing on the season, while Banks is coming off a huge game at Oklahoma when he accounted for a school-record 351 all-purpose yards and his Big 12-record fourth kick return for a touchdown.

The Wildcat defense has put up solid numbers this season, especially in the Wildcats’ four games at Bill Snyder Family Stadium. So far in four home games, K-State has yielded just 11.0 points and 216.0 total yards a game in four wins. The Wildcats also have collected 14 sacks, eight interceptions and 27 tackles for loss at home this season. Jeffrey Fitzgerald has been a force up front defensively with his 6.0 sacks, while Emmanuel Lamur leads the squad in tackles with 46. Tysyn Hartman continues to put up All-Big 12-like numbers as he has collected 42 tackles, six pass breakups and four interceptions on the season.
