  • Kansas State has now won two consecutive exhibition games against Pittsburg State... Prior to their meeting on Sunday, the Wildcats defeated the Gorillas 88-69 on Nov. 11, 2004...The Wildcats improved to 2-0 all-time in exhibition affairs against the Gorillas... The paid attendance in Bramlage Coliseum on Sunday was 12,528.
  • Kansas State posted their eighth consecutive exhibition game win dating back to the 2004-2005 season... Dating back to 1987, the Wildcats are 31-9 in exhibition contests, moving to 6-0 against teams from the MIAA (Mid-America Intercollegiate Athletics Association).
  • The Wildcats' starting lineup Sunday afternoon was junior guard Jacob Pullen, senior guard Denis Clemente, junior forward Dominique Sutton, junior forward Curtis Kelly and freshman forward Jordan Henriquez-Roberts. Pullen, Clemente and Sutton are all returning players from last year's squad... Henriquez-Roberts made his first collegiate start... Kelly made his Wildcat debut after transferring from Connecticut and sitting out the 2008-09 season.
  • Freshmen Jordan Henriquez-Roberts, Martavious Irving, Nick Russell, Rodney McGruder and Wally Judge also made their K-State and collegiate debuts... The freshmen combined for 25 of the Wildcats' 89 points on Sunday.
  • Junior Jacob Pullen led the Wildcats and all scorers with 17 points, with 15 coming in the second half... After the halftime break, Pullen came out of the locker room and knocked down four 3-point baskets in a time span of 3:30... Pullen finished the game 6-of-9 from the field, including 5-of-7 from three-point range... Pullen also led the Wildcats with seven assists.
  • Five Wildcats scored in double-figures on Sunday afternoon... The last time that Kansas State had at least five players score in double-figures was last season on February 18 against North Carolina Central... The Wildcats had only three games last season in which at least five players posted double-figures in scoring.
  • K-State's defense held Pittsburg State to only 53 points, including only 20 points in the first half... The Wildcats defense sparked early holding the Gorillas to only seven points in the first 10 minutes of the contest...The team held the Gorillas to just 31 percent shooting and posted 10 blocks in the contest... The Wildcats forced 23 turnovers, turning them into 26 points.
  • Jamar Samuels put on a solid performance for the Wildcats as he scored 16 points on 6-of-9 shooting... Samuels scored in double figures in 15 games last season... Samuels also grabbed three rebounds and dished out two assists in the contest.
  • Freshman Nick Russell scored 10 points and was perfect from the floor shooting 4-of-4, including one bucket from 3-point range... He also added two assists for the Wildcats.
  • Junior Curtis Kelly posted the only double-double on Sunday... Kelly finished the contest with 11 points and 10 rebounds... Kelly shot 4-of-7 from the floor and shot 3-of-6 from the free-throw stripe... Kelly also added two assists and two blocks for the Wildcats.
  • Freshman Wally Judge tallied a near double-double with eight points and team-tying 10 rebounds... He went 4-of-7 from the field... He also garnered three assists, one block and one steal in 20 minutes.
  • Freshman Jordan Henriquez-Roberts finished the contest with six blocks... The last Wildcat player to post at least six blocks in a single-game was Jason Bennett, who earned eight blocks against Chicago State on January 22, 2007.
