2008: Saw action in 8 of 12 games as a junior, including a stretch of five straight that ended against Nebraska... Also earned three starts... Helped an offensive line rank fourth in the Big 12 in fewest sacks allowed.

2007: Redshirted.

JUNIOR COLLEGE: Played 2005 season at Pasadena City College before moving to Compton College for the 2006 season...Was a First Team All-Western State Conference selection and an honorable mention all-state honoree.

HIGH SCHOOL: Started three seasons at Church Point High School... Played both defensive end and defensive tackle... Earned first team all-conference and all-parish, second team all-acadiana and honorable all-state honors... Helped lead team to the state playoffs as a senior.

PERSONAL: Eric Randall Benoit was born on January 14, 1986, in Crowley, La... His parents are Randall and Maria Benoit... Has an older sister, Erica, and a younger brother, Michael... Majoring in socio-criminology.
