A physical defensive back who also can play at the rush linebacker position... Coming off a solid campaign in 2008 and will look to do even bigger things during his senior season.

2008: Played in all 12 games, starting 10... Either blocked or returned three of K-State’s four blocked punts on the season...  Scored both of K-State’s defensive touchdowns... Returned an interception 57 yards for a touchdown against Nebraska... Carded five stops at Missouri... Tallied four tackles and one breakup at Kansas... Had five stops, including 1.0 for loss, and returned a blocked punt for a touchdown at Texas A&M... Named Walter Camp Football Foundation National Defensive Player of the Week and co-Big 12 Defensive Player of the Week after a monstrous game against Montana State, where he blocked a punt for a touchdown, recorded an interception and returned a fumble 43 yards for a score... Tallied a career-best 10 stops against Louisiana... Collected five tackles and blocked another punt against Texas Tech... Finished third on the team in tackles with 61 total stops.

2007: Appeared in 11 total games and recorded 22 tackles on the season with one sack, one interception, one forced fumble and one blocked kick... Blocked a punt against Missouri and also returned a blocked punt for a touchdown against Colorado... Collected four tackles at Iowa State... Had a career day against Baylor, recording three tackles, 2.5 of which went for 17 yards of losses, one sack and a fumble recovery... Had a breakout game against No. 7 Texas, wrapping up four Longhorn runners and registering his first-career interception.

2006: Appeared in seven games on the year before suffering a season-ending injury... Made his first career start against Iowa State... Totaled seven tackles... Collected two tackles each against Baylor and Iowa State.

2005: Redshirted.

HIGH SCHOOL: Started three years at Lincoln High School... Helped lead the Tigers to a 13-2 record in 2004 and a berth in the Class 4A Division II state title game... Registered 110 tackles, 23 tackles for loss, six sacks, five blocked kicks, three interceptions and a touchdown as a senior... Named first team Class 4A all-state by TexasPrepXtra.com... Received honorable mention all-state honors from The Associated Press... First team all-district 10-4A by the coaches and all-area by the Dallas Morning News... Collected 94 tackles, nine interceptions and nine pass break-ups as a junior for 10-2 Lincoln...  Considered the No. 39 safety in the nation by Rivals and the No. 85 player from Texas... Rated as the No. 32 prospect by the Dallas Morning News... Coached by Reginald Samples.
