Powerful runner with good speed who earned a sixth year of eligibility from the NCAA following the 2005 season.

2006: Has appeared in three games this season... Opened the Illinois State game at running back and started the Louisville game a fullback... Rushed for 31 yards on 16 carries... Earned his second career start in the season opener against Illinois State and rushed for 26 yards on 14 carries in the win over the Redbirds... Had two carries for five yards against Louisville... Has seen some playing time on special teams... Powerful runner who earned a sixth year of eligibility from the NCAA last December... Totalled 96 yards on 30 attempts last season with two touchdowns... Once scored six touchdowns in a high school game.

2005: Played in all 11 games with one start... Totaled 96 yards on 30 attempts with two touchdowns on the season... Made first career start at Marshall... Had nine carries for career-high 43 yards, including a six-yard TD run, vs. North Texas... Had at team-high 42 yards with a career-long run of 23 yards vs. Colorado.

2004: Struggled with injuries heading into the season and did not see any playing time.

2003: Moved up the depth chart quickly during camp and served as K-State’s No. 2 running back for the first two games... Was injured in the Wildcats’ second game vs. Troy State and missed the rest of the season.

2002: Played in all 12 regular-season games... Saw action on special teams and as a reserve running back... Entered the season listed as a defensive back before moving to offense... K-State’s ninth-leading rusher with 70 yards... Had three runs of over 10 yards, including a season-best 20-yard scamper at Baylor... Returned a punt for 13 yards against Louisiana-Monroe... Chalked up season highs in both carries (11) and yards (35) against Kansas... Collected four tackles on special teams.

2001: Redshirted.

High School: Started for three years and lettered for four at Liberal High School... Ranked 29th in nation among running backs by SuperPrep magazine... High school All-American by SuperPrep and by PrepStar magazine... Ranked 13th on SuperPrep’s Midlands list... Two-time Kansas all-state selection... Invited to Kansas Shrine Bowl... All-WAC pick... Finished career with more than 3,000 yards rushing and 43 touchdowns... Second-leading rusher in school history... Totaled 1,254 yards as a senior with 21 scores...  Lists greatest sports thrill as scoring six touchdowns and gaining 240 yards in a game vs. Great Bend as a senior... High school football coach was Gary Cornelson... Led Liberal to Kansas Class 5A team track title by winning both 100 and 200 as a senior... State sprints champion as junior with marks of 10.3 in 100-meter dash and 21.5 in 200... Also won state title in triple jump.

Personal: Born Oct. 25, 1982, in Liberal, Kan... Parents are Thurston and Faye Alsup... Enjoys reading and video games... A social science major.
