Named team captain and best defensive lineman as senior for Thunderbirds in 2001... Earned team’s most improved award as a sophomore... Started on offense and defense as both junior and senior... Lettered for three seasons in football... High school coach was Frank Crosson... Played basketball for two seasons... Member of Class 5-A state champs as a senior... Also lettered two years in baseball and was member of 5-A state champion baseball team as junior.
