2003 (Junior): Opened the season as a starter... Lost his starting job following the Massachusetts game (9/13), but fought his way back onto the field, earning a start vs. Missouri (11/22) and seeing plenty of time in the secondary during the Big 12 Championship game vs. Oklahoma (12/6)... Overall, saw action in 12 games with five starts... Totaled 22 tackles, including 17 solo stops... Credited with four pass break-ups... Picked up his first career interception and had two tackles in start against Missouri... Came off the bench to record three unassisted tackles and a pass break-up vs. Oklahoma... Again was called on as a reserve vs. Ohio State (1/2) in the Tostitos Fiesta Bowl, making three total tackles... Tallied one solo tackle against Colorado (10/18) and Nebraska (11/16)... Credited with five tackles, including four solo, against California (8/23)... Finished with three total tackles vs. both Troy State (8/30) and McNeese State (9/6).

2002: Redshirt season.

West L.A. College: Lettered as a sophomore for the Oilers in Western State Conference... Earned honorable mention all-state honors as a defensive back... All-conference pick and was team’s defensive MVP... Also had some starts as a freshman... Junior college coach was Darryl Holmes.

Dorsey HS: Lettered two seasons in football at Dorsey HS in Los Angeles... Member of athletic honor roll... Was first cornerback at Dorsey not to give up a touchdown pass his senior season in 1999... Co-Defensive Player of the Year and first team All-Coliseum League player... Was team captain as a senior... Second team all-league player as a sophomore... High school coach was Paul Knox.
