2003 (Junior): Appeared in 10 games as a reserve defensive back and on special teams... Finished the season with five total tackles, including three solo stops.

Butler County CC: Played two seasons at Butler County, where he started as a sophomore and earned JC Gridwire academic All-America honors... Recorded 70 total tackles on the seasons, including a 14-tackle effort vs. Garden City... Also grabbed three interceptions on the year.

Valley Center HS: Earned four letters while a prep for Mike Smith at Valley Center High School... Was a two-time All-Chisolm Trail League selection as a junior and senior... Receive all-state honors from the Topeka Capital-Journal as a senior... Credited with seven interceptions as a junior and six as a senior, while averaging 70 tackles per season... Also lettered in basketball and track and field for the Hornets.
