A steady, proven receiver who is expected to once again be a key component of Kansas State’s passing game... Possesses good speed and hands and is also a solid route runner... Listed as a starter at one wide receiver spot.

 

2004 (Junior): Appeared in all 11 games with seven starts... Finished fifth on the team in receptions with 22 catches for 229 yards and a touchdown... Had at least one catch in 9-of-11 games... Hauled in four receptions for 41 yards at Colorado (11/13)... Recorded one catch for five yards at Missouri (11/6)... Made two receptions for 15 yards against Texas Tech (10/30)... Wildcats second-leading receiver against Nebraska (10/23) with four catches for 26 yards... Caught one pass for 15 yards against Oklahoma (10/16)... Had three catches for 23 yards at Texas A&M (10/2)... Hauled in two balls for 19 yards against Louisiana-Lafayette (9/18)... Caught a 47-yard TD against Fresno State (9/11)... Second-leading receiver against Western Kentucky (9/4) with four catches and 38 yards.

 

2003 (Sophomore): Saw action in all 15 games at wideout, including three starts... Ranked second in touchdown catches (4), fourth in total yards (404) and fourth in catches (22)... Had a breakout game in the Tostitos Fiesta Bowl vs. Ohio State (1/2), leading all receivers with a career-high seven receptions for 113 yards... Turned in two catches for 17 yards against Nebraska (11/15)... Had one catch for 41 yards against Baylor (11/1)... Collected 41 yards on two catches with one TD against Kansas (10/25)... Finished the Colorado game (10/18) with four catches for 73 yards, including a 40-yard score... Registered three catches for 15 yards against McNeese State (9/6)... Hauled in the Wildcats’ second longest scoring strike of the season - a 57-yarder - against Troy State (8/30)... Had one reception for a 28-yard touchdown vs. Cal (8/23).

 

2002 (Redshirt Freshman): Played in 11 games as a reserve wide receiver... Earned starts against Western Kentucky (8/31) and at Baylor (10/26)... Also saw action on special teams... Averaged 6.7 yards per catch on three receptions with a season-long of 15 yarder at Baylor (10/26)... Collected his first career reception against Western Kentucky (8/31) for six yards.

 

2001 (Freshman): Redshirt season.

 

St. James HS: Listed among top 40 prospects in Louisiana by SuperPrep magazine... Ranked 53rd nationally among wide-receiver prospects by Rivals.com... First team All-State pick by Louisiana Football Magazine... Also first team All-Metro and All-District 9–3A... Caught 45 passes for 970 yards as a senior... Also had 13 touchdowns... Started three seasons for the Wildcats... High school coach was Rick Gaille... Also lettered three seasons in track.

 

Personal: Born Sept. 24, 1983, in Thibadoux, La... Parents are Alvin and Hollie Dennis... Has two older siblings... Brother, Harold, played four seasons at Tulane from 1987-91... A social science major... First name pronounced "DAH-vin."
