2002 (Redshirt Freshman): Played in 12 games as both a backup running back and on special teams... Missed the opener vs. Western Kentucky... Finished year with 18 yards rushing on four carries... Had three carries for 10 yards against Kansas (11/2)... Had a season-long eight-yard gain vs. Louisiana-Monroe (9/7)... Fnished with eight tackles, including five solos on special teams... Had four games with two tackles.

2001 (Freshman): Redshirt season.

Rock Creek HS: Lettered four seasons and was a three-year starter... Was Flint Hills Player of the Year as a senior... Three-year first team all-league and all-area selection at running back... Second team All-State as senior both at running back and defensive back... All-Class 3A first-team pick as a senior... Rushed for 2,300 yards in his senior year with 39 touchdowns, averaging 10.1 yards per carry... Finished career with 4,500 yards and 71 touchdowns... High school football coach was Mike Beam... Also was all-league three seasons in basketball and earned four letters in track and field.
