2007: Earned honorable mention All-Big 12 accolades from the league’s coaches... Strong-armed quarterback who started all 12 games at quarterback... Set five school passing records for most completions in a game and season, most attempts in a season, most passing yards in a season and most 300-yard passing games in a season... Threw for a K-State record 3,353 yards on 316-of-499 passing... Completed 63.3 percent of his passes and added 18 touchdowns... Completed at least 20 passes in 11 of 12 games... Finished season third on the K-State career attempts list, second on the career completions list and fourth in career passing yards... Ranked ninth in the country and third in the Big 12 with 26.33 completions per game... Was 15th nationally and third in the Big 12 with 279.4 passing yards per game... Hit career highs in yardage on three occasions... Was 27-of-41 for 256 yards at two touchdowns in the season finale against Fresno State... Went 26-for-41 for 256 yards and two scores against Missouri... Had another 26 completions for 320 yards with two touchdowns at Nebraska... Completed 28-of-44 passes for 347 yards and a touchdown against Iowa State... Hit 22-of-33 passes for 247 yards and three touchdowns against Baylor... Also had two rushing touchdowns against the Bears, a career high... Completed 36-of-51 passes for 404 yards with three touchdowns and no interceptions against Oklahoma State... His 36 completions against the Cowboys broke the single-game school record, while his 404-yard performance was a career high and the fourth most in a single game in school history... Threw for 214 yards, one touchdown and no interceptions against Colorado on 15-of-27 passing... Reset his previous career high with 305 yards against Kansas on 31-of-48 passing... Went 106 pass attempts between throwing interceptions against San Jose State and Kansas... Was efficient in the short passing game against No. 7 Texas, completing 22 for 177 yards and one touchdown... Completed 32-of-57 passes for 268 yards to open the season at Auburn.

2006: Appeared in 11-of-13 games, including starts in the final eight contests of the season... Took over at quarterback during the second half of game No. 5 at Baylor and directed the K-State offense the rest of the season... Earned honorable mention freshman All-America honors from The Sporting News... Was the lone true freshman quarterback in the country to lead his team to a bowl game during 2006... Threw for a K-State freshman record 1,780 yards on 140-of-270 passing (52 percent)... Passed for 244 yards or more in four of his eight starting assignments... Finished the regular season with 764 passing yards in the final three games, the most at K-State over a three-game stretch since 1998... Also had consecutive 250-plus yard passing games against Colorado and Texas, marking the first time a K-State quarterback had done so since 1998... Averaged 204.1 yards passing in conference games to rank sixth in the league... Threw for 691 yards on 55-for-77 passing (71.4-percent) during K-State’s late season three-game winning streak... Twice earned Big 12 Player-of-the-Week accolades after wins at Colorado and vs. Texas... Became the first Wildcat since 2001 to earn Big 12 player-of-the-week honors in consecutive weeks... Was one of two Big 12 players to earn the league’s weekly top performance honor in back-to-back weeks (Oklahoma RB Adrian Peterson was the other)... Also earned three national player-of-the-week honors after the win over Texas, including Cingular All-America Player of the Week, the Walter Camp Foundation Offensive Player of the Week and the Master Coaches Survey Player of the Week... Was 19-of-31 for 269 yards and a career-high four TD’s (three passing and one rushing) in the win over No. 4 Texas... Had a near-perfect outing at Colorado, finishing 22-of-26 for 251 yards and a career-high two touchdowns... His 84.6 percent completion ratio against the Buffaloes was the highest in the Big 12 during 2006 and the second best in K-State history... Was 14-of-20 for 161 yards, including his first career touchdown, in a win over Iowa State... Attempted a K-State freshman-record 47 passes against Nebraska, completing 23, for 272 yards... Earned his first career start against Oklahoma State and led the Wildcats to a comeback win... Finished the game 10-for-15 passing for 177 yards and ran for a game-winning 21-yard touchdown with 1:11 to go in the game... Became the first K-State quarterback since 1976 to start as a true freshman... Saw his first career playing time against Florida Atlantic... Graduated high school early and participated in spring practice.

High School: Passed for over 7,000 yards as a prep at Grandview High School...  A four-star rated prospect by both Rivals.com and Scout.com... The No. 4 pro-style rated quarterback in the country by Rivals... Also ranked as the No. 92 overall prospect in the nation by Rivals and the top player in the state of Missouri... A top 100 Dream Team selection by PrepStar and the magazine’s No. 9 quarterback nationally... A 2005 EA Sports Elite 11 participant and one of just six quarterbacks selected to play in the prestigious U.S. Army High School All-America game... The No. 6 player in the Midlands region and No. 8 quarterback nationally by SuperPrep... Led Grandview to a 7-4 record, a district title and a berth in the sectional round of the Missouri state playoffs as a senior... Completed 151-of-286 passes (53 percent) for 2,622 yards and 33 touchdowns in 2005... Also rushed for five scores... Earned first team Class 4 all-state honors from the Missouri Sportswriters and Sportscasters Association... Selected to the Kansas City Star All-Metro team and was the 2005 Tony Simone Award winner as the top player in the Kansas City metro area... Topped 2,400 yards through the air with 23 touchdowns as a junior... Had 1,946 passing yards and 24 passing TDs as a sophomore, leading Grandview to a 9-3 record and a spot in the quarterfinals of the Class 4 playoffs... Set 10 school records during his career at Grandview, including career passing yards (7,175), passing touchdowns (78), attempts (809), completions (385), yards passing in a game (403) and touchdowns in a game (6)... Personal: Josh Tyler Freeman was born Jan. 13, 1988... Parents are Ron and Teresa Freeman... Father, Ron, played professionally in the USFL and serves as Grandview High’s defensive coordinator... Major is business administration.
