2007: Appeared in 10 games on the season... Finished the season with 31 total tackles, 1.5 for loss, with one sack and three passes defended... Made first career-start at Auburn... Carded a then-career-high six tackles at Nebraska, including his first career sack... Wrapped up a career high eight tackles against Missouri... Started five games on the season, including three of the final four.

2006: Appeared in 12-of-13 games on special teams and as a reserve defensive back... Totaled seven tackles (five solo)... Had season-high two stops at Kansas in the regular season finale.

Junior College: Played just one season at Independence... Named first team All-KJCCC as well as Indy’s team MVP as a redshirt freshman in 2005... Rated as the No. 42 junior college prospect in the country by Rivals.com and the No. 76 overall junior college player in the nation by SuperPrep... Recorded 35 tackles, including 29 solo stops, and a sack from his cornerback spot... Also had three interceptions and helped Independence finish the regular season as the league’s top-ranked unit in both total defense (263.4 ypg) and passing defense (140.6 ypg)... High School: Lettered three years and started two at El Dorado High School... Earned all-area and All-5A South Conference honors as a senior in 2003... Was also tapped to the Golden Triangle team... Personal: Ray Charles Cheatham was born Aug. 6, 1986, in El Dorado, Ark... Parents are Rev. Charlie Ray Cheatham and Felicia Cheatham... Has two brothers and a sister... Future plans include coaching football.
