Tough, rugged linebacker who has a real nose for the football... Possesses excellent speed and plays with great leverage... Has proved to be and extremely productive performer and is expected to push for starting duties at inside linebacker after having an outstanding offseason.

2007: Tough, rugged linebacker who was named a team captain prior to the season and started all 12 games... Finished as the team’s second-leading tackler with 70 stops... Earned a starting nod at inside linebacker to open the season at Auburn after an outstanding offseason... Registered 2 tackles against the Tigers... Had a career-high 9 tackles against San Jose State... Collected 5 tackles, including 0.5 for losses, against Missouri State... Tied his career high in tackles with 9 against Texas... Also recorded his first-career interception against the Longhorns... Led team with 7 tackles against Kansas and Oklahoma State... Registered 8 tackles and 1 sack against Colorado... Made 3 stops, including 1.5 for loss and recovered 1 fumble against Baylor... Turned in 5 tackles, including 1 for a loss, at Iowa State... Carded 6 tackles at Nebraska... Had 7 tackles against Fresno State, including 2 for losses.

2006: Earned playing time in 12 games as a reserve linebacker and on special teams... Credited with 17 total tackles and two force fumbles... Forced fumble total ranked fourth in the Big 12 in league games... Came off the bench in the Texas Bowl vs. Rutgers to collect three solo tackles... Recorded three tackles and forced a key fumble that led to a score in the win over No. 4 Texas... Was second on the team with six tackles in his first extensive action against Florida Atlantic... Had two tackles each against Nebrask and Missouri.

Junior College: A 2005 honorable mention All-Southwest Junior College Football Conference selection as a sophomore... Helped lead NEO to a 9-3 record and victory over Mississippi Golf Coast in the Dalton Defenders Bowl... Led the SWJCFC in tackles with an eye-popping 170 on the season from his inside linebacker spot... Also ranked second in the league in sacks with 9.0... Appeared in seven games at the strong-side linebacker position as a freshman in 2004... Recorded 51 tackles, 29 solo, a sack and a tackle for loss... Coached by Rob Green.

High School: A 2003 first team District 6A-4 pick and an honorable mention all-state selection by the Daily Oklahoman as a senior... Was also a standout wrestler as a prep... Won the 2003 Oklahoma state title in the heavyweight division and helped Po-Hi win the state team title.

Personal: Justin Roland was born Jan. 14, 1986... He is the son of Charlene Roland... Major is social science.
