Athletic quarterback who is expected to battle for starting duties... A heady player who rapidly picks up offensive concepts... Possesses excellent feet and good arm strength.

2005: Played in nine games with six starts... Earned honorable mention All-America honors from The Sporting News...  An Academic All-Big 12 first team selection... Made first career start at Texas Tech (10/15)... Recorded the most prolific season ever by a K-State freshman quarterback, throwing for a freshman school-record 1,365 yards on 102-for-213 passing... Also tossed a frosh school-record six touchdowns, including the game winner in K-State's come-from-behind victory over Kansas... In all, passed for over 200 yards in three of his six starts, including a season-high 357-yard performance against Texas A&M that stands as the ninth-best single-game passing total in K-State history.... Tossed a season-long 80-yard touchdown pass to Jordy Nelson at Texas Tech... Proved to be a dangerous weapon on the ground as well, recording the seventh-best single-game rushing performance ever by a Wildcat quarterback with 138 yards and two touchdown at Nebraska... Rushing total vs. the Huskers was just the second 100-yard rushing performance by a freshman in school history... Finished season with four rushing touchdowns... Received the Nancy Bennett Memorial team award.

2004: Redshirted.

High School: Lettered and started two years at Papillon-LaVista High School... Named to the Lincoln Journal-Star's Super State (all classes) first team and Class A all-state first team at quarterback... Also received Class A first team all-state accolades from the Omaha World Herald... Earned all-district and All-Metro first team honors as a senior... Was an all-district, all-conference and all-state honorable mention selection as a junior... Served as the Monarchs' team captain as a senior... Tapped as the No. 66 quarterback in the nation by TheInsiders.com... Named the No. 21 dual-threat quarterback and the No. 8 player in the state of Nebraska by Rivals.com... An All-Midlands region selection by Prepstar...  Passed for 1,400 yards and rushed for another 587 to lead LaVista in total offense with 1,987 yards as a senior... His 427 yards of total offense per game was a LaVista school record... Passed for over 900 yards and rushed for 600 as a junior... Coached by Gene Suhr... Also lettered in track and field as a sophomore.

Personal: Michael Allan Evridge was born June 24, 1985, in Frankfurt, Germany... Son of James and Lori Evridge... Father is in the U.S. Air Force, while mother is an auditor... Has two brothers... Enjoys skiing, jetskiing, boating, fishing and hunting... A business administration major.
