High School: A three-year starter at Millard North High School... Played tight end and defensive end as a prep... Named to the 2003 Lincoln Journal-Star Super State (all classes) second team as a defensive lineman... Was also on the Lincoln Journal-Star’s Class A first team defense... Earned all-metro (Omaha) and all-district honors... Was considered the top tight end prospect in the state of Nebraska heading into the 2003 season... Helped Millard North to the 2003 Nebraska Class A state championship and a perfect 13-0 record... Played along side fellow K-State teammate John McCardle in 2002, helping block for McCardle’s Class A record 2,300 yards rushing... Coached by Fred Petito...
