2007: Four-year starter who was the Big 12’s top punter... A 2007 Ray Guy Award semi-finalist... Earned numerous first team All-Big 12 honors, including from the Associated Press, the league’s coaches, Rivals.com, the Kansas City Star and the Waco Tribune-Herald... Season average of 44.5 yards is tops in the Big 12 and 10th nationally...  Finished season ranked second on the school’s single-season average list and third on the school’s career average list... Had 22 of his punts downed inside the opponents’ 20... Nailed four punts for a 48-yard average, including a long of 55, at Fresno State... Boomed 5 punts for a season-best 48.4-yard average, including 3 over 50 yards and 2 inside the 20 against Missouri... Had 4 punts for a 36.2 average at Iowa State... Dropped 2 of his punts inside the 20-yard line against the Cyclones, including 1 at the one-yard line... Attempted another 4 punts for a 47-yard average at Oklahoma State... Registered a then-season-high 47.2-yard average on 6 punts against Kansas, including a long of 61 and dropped 4 inside the 20, tying a season high... Boomed 5 punts for a 46.4 average against Texas, including a long of 58...  Averaged a combined 46.8 yards per punt during the Texas and Kansas games... Recorded a 45.0 average on 2 punts against Missouri State... Punted a season-high nine times at Auburn.

 

2006: Appeared in all 13 games as the Wildcats’ punter... Member of the Ray Guy Award watch list... Averaged 42.1 yards on 61 punts, which ranked sixth in the Big 12 and 30th nationally... Was even better in Big 12 games with a 43.8-yard average on 40 punts... Boomed 10 punts over 50 yards and two over 60... Killed 13 of his 61 punts inside the opponent’s 20-yard line and forced fair catches on 21 others... Had just six touchbacks... Had an outstanding Texas Bowl, averaging 42.4 yards on five punts with a long of 48... Averaged 45.3 yards on a career-high 10 boots at Baylor, including a 65-yarder... Averaged a season-best 52.0 yards on four punts at Kansas and 48.5 on four punts vs. Iowa State.

2005: Punted in all 11 games... Averaged 40.3 yards on 65 punts... Killed 18 balls inside the opponent’s 20-yard line... Had eight punts sail over 50 yards... Netted just five touchbacks and forced 14 fair catches... Averaged a season-best 48.0 yards vs. North Texas... Had a season-high 10 punts vs. Kansas, including a season long 65-yarder... Also recorded a 62-yard boot at Iowa State... Dropped four of his eight punts vs. Missouri inside the Tigers’ 20-yard line.

2004: Honorable mention All-Big 12 selection by the league’s coaches as a true freshman... Appeared in 10 games... Ranked second nationally in punting among freshman, averaging 42.4 yards on 36 punts... Nearly a third of his punts (10 total) traveled over 50 yards, including a season-long 71-yarder at Colorado, a 67-yarder vs. Nebraska and 61-yarders vs. Oklahoma and Texas Tech... Also killed 10 punts inside the opponent’s 20 and forced eight fair catches... Had at least two 50-plus yard punts in each of the final four games... Averaged 48.8 yards at Colorado for top performance of the season.

High School: Three-year letterwinner at nearby Rock Creek High School... Second team All-Mideast league selection... Two-time all-Flint Hills pick... Set school punting record and tied mark for longest punt.
