Dear Wildcat Nation,

I am writing this letter as Lon Floyd and I are returning from a great three-day trip out to Western Kansas where we made close to 20 stops and visited with over 70 K-Staters. Our 1,000-mile swing included stops in Pratt, Dodge City, Montezuma, Garden City, Holcomb, Garden City, Scott City, Dighton, Ness City and Great Bend, and I continue to be impressed with the passion and loyalty of our fans.

10 days and counting until the K-State Family Reunion!

It was great to see so many of you at Fan Appreciation Day last Saturday supporting Coach Snyder and our student-athletes.

Dear Wildcat Nation,

It's hard to believe it is already August and we are exactly one month away from our K-State Family Reunion at Bill Snyder Family Stadium.  I appreciate the fantastic response of Wildcat fans to the new ticket initiatives for the 2009 season, as nearly 2,000 new season and 8,700 single-game tickets have been purchased since our Family Reunion press conference on July 13. I can't wait to see the stadium full of purple on September 5!

I am so happy that Mary Lawrence and the kids will finally be moving to Manhattan next week. We had a great family vacation in the North Carolina mountains last week, but I am anxious to get them settled here at home.
