MANHATTAN, Kan. - A total of 17 K-State student-athletes earned their degrees from Kansas State University this fall after completing final exams and participating in the annual commencement exercises.
Highlighting the 17 who graduated this fall were nine current or former members of the K-State football team, two each from the equestrian, rowing and baseball teams and one each from track and field and volleyball. Four of the graduates have earned Academic All-Big 12 honors this past season, while the football team will see a total of 16 players take the field at the 2013 Tostitos Fiesta Bowl with a degree in hand.
The group of graduates was also honored at the department's annual graduation reception inside the K-State Alumni Center, a function that is in its fourth season.
K-State continues to rank among the league's best in terms of academic success as it has led the Big 12 Conference in all-sports graduation rate four of the last five years. The Wildcats also continue to set a national standard in terms of APR as all programs are currently well above the required NCAA standard.
