K-State tied the game with a run in the top of the second when Brett Owen brought Harker home on a fielder's choice. Harker reached base with a one-out walk and moved to third on a single from catcher TK McWhertor.
After a two-out error by Owen, the Red Raiders scored six unearned runs in the bottom of the second for a 7-1 lead. Four straight Tech batters reached safely following the error, capped by Rheams' three-run blast. In the inning, Brian Klein had an RBI double and John Jung added a run-producing single as TTU brought nine to the plate.
Klein and Jung each had four hits with two RBI and four runs scored on the day.
Fourteen Red Raiders came to bat in the third inning, as they added nine to their lead in the inning. Warren's slam highlighted the scoring, which included nine hits off the Littlejim brothers.
