Dibbini Adds Rocha and Wagner to 2016 Roster

MANHATTAN, Kan. – Kansas State women’s soccer head coach Mike Dibbini continues to fill out his inaugural roster, as he has added a pair of student-athletes for the 2016 season.

The two student-athletes to join the 2016 roster are: Aly Rocha (Huntington Beach, Calif.) and Tatum Wagner (Tulsa, Okla.).

Rocha will be a freshman for the Wildcats in 2016, after playing with her club team Slammers FC since 2011. Over the last four seasons, Rocha has recorded 22 goals and 52 assists, including a game-winning goal to help Slammers FC reach the Elite Clubs National League (ECNL) Nationals.

“Aly is an extremely technical and smart soccer player for our backline that will allow us to connect passes and play very dynamic,” said Dibbini about his latest defender. “She has the ability to serve dangerous balls in the run of play and takes all set pieces. She comes from a very successful ECNL program that competes consistently at the national level and plays against the elite in the nation. We are very excited to add Aly to the program.”

Wagner comes to K-State after one season at Tennessee. While with the Volunteers, Wagner saw action in 17 matches and tabulated one goal and two assists.

“Tatum is a very athletic and dangerous forward that will bring immediate experience to our front line,” stated Dibbini about the Wildcats’ newest forward. “She has the ability to create scoring chances for herself and her teammates. We are looking at Tatum to come in and provide an impact right away. We are excited that Tatum chose K-State and to be a part of building our soccer program.”

In her high school career at Bixby High School, Wagner was ranked as the No. 95 overall prospect in the country in the IMG Academy 150 and was a top 20 ECNL Player to Watch in the 2012-13 season. She totaled 51 goals and 24 assists in her high school career and was a three-time All-District and All-Metro recipient. In 2013, Wagner was a finalist for the Gatorade Player of the Year in the state of Oklahoma as she rang up 19 goals and seven assists.
