Dibbini Adds Sieperda to Roster

MANHATTAN, Kan. – K-State women’s soccer head coach Mike Dibbini announced the addition of transfer student-athlete, as forward Abby Sieperda will join the inaugural Wildcat roster for the 2016 season.

Sieperda joins the Wildcats following two seasons at Arkansas in 2014 and 2015. The forward from Shawnee, Kansas played in 17 matches with one start. In her sophomore season with the Razorbacks, she saw action in nine matches. During her freshman campaign, Sieperda played in eight games and notched her first career goal against Missouri State. She is also a strong student, as she was named to the 2015 SEC First Year Honor Roll.

“We are excited with the addition of Abby,” said Dibbini about his newest forward. “She comes from a competitive environment and has a knack for scoring goals. Playing for a top ECNL program and playing at an SEC program will help bring valuable experience to the program.”

Prior to playing at Arkansas, Sieperda was a three-year letter winner at Mill Valley High School. She was a three-time All-State selection and a three-time All-NESKA First Team recipient while helping Mill Valley to a second place finish at state in her sophomore season and a fourth place finish in her junior season. She holds the Jaguars record for goals in a single season with 31.

In her club career, she played for Sporting Blue Valley in Overland Park, Kansas. She earned the Golden Boot Award for most goals scored at the U18 level while competing in Elite Clubs National League (ECNL). She helped Sporting Blue Valley to a seventh place national finish at the U18 level.
