The match against the Longhorns was one of two nationally-televised K-State contests announced by the Big 12 Conference, with the other being a road match at Oklahoma five days earlier on Friday, October 16. The meeting in Norman will be broadcast on FOX Sports Regional Networks (FSN).

The Wildcats are one of four Big 12 teams making a pair of appearances on the five telecasts announced by the conference. Iowa State, Oklahoma and Texas join K-State while Baylor and Kansas also appear on the schedule.
