Wildcat Rally? Ready to Rumble

If the sights and sounds of K-State's annual Harley Day get your motor runnin', then don't miss the 24th annual Powercat Auction. This spring's high-energy event is sure to appeal to fans who were born to be wild and born to be wildcats.

“Wildcat Rally... Ready to Rumble” is set for Friday, April 18, at Bramlage Coliseum. The doors open at 5:30 p.m. Auction-goers are encouraged to wear biker attire -- denim, leather or a combination of both.

The schedule for this annual fundraiser will be similar to successful events in recent years. A silent auction featuring items at many price points will precede a live auction, starting at 7:30p.m. Trips to exotic locales as well as numerous sports related packages are on the auction block. This annual job ride will accelerate as we wrap-up with a donation drawing for a Custom Cat Chopper, a one-of-a-kind bike donated by the presenting sponsor KansasStateCars.com.

Fans who can’t be in Manhattan during the auction don’t have to miss the fun. For the third year, bids for live auction items can be placed online beginning March 15 at www.k-statesports.com. Once again, Rambler’s is catering the buffet-style meal, and the popular local band “Mainstreet” will rev up the crowd with classic rock.

Auction tickets are $75 each and include one ticket for the chopper. Additional drawing tickets may be purchased beginning in February for $25. Sponsorship opportunities for the auction also are available at $300, $1250 and $2500 levels. Proceeds from the event support the Mike Ahearn Scholarship Fund.
