Kansas State moved to 2-0 in the all-time series against Chicago State on Monday night... The Wildcats posted a 73-36 win over the Cougars on Jan. 22, 2007... The team is 9-1 all-time against teams from independent ranks.

 

With the win, Kansas State moved to 360-299 (.545) all-time in the month of January, including wins in 18 of its last 27 games dating back to 2006... The Wildcats have won 14 consecutive games in January, including their current 10-game homecourt winning streak, which dates back to an 85-81 win at Missouri on Jan. 13, 2007... The team has won 10 consecutive home non-conference contests dating back to a 70-64 loss to Long Beach State on Jan. 4, 2000.

 

Kansas State posted their 11th consecutive home win to move to 9-0 in Bramlage Coliseum this season... The win continues the Wildcats’ 10-game homecourt winning streak in the month of January... The team moved to 239-85 (.736) in Bramlage Coliseum.

 

The Wildcats’ starting lineup was sophomore guard Jacob Pullen, junior guard Denis Clemente, sophomore forward Dominique Sutton, senior forward Darren Kent and junior forward Luis Coln... K-State has posted a 9-3 record with this line-up... Pullen has the longest active games played streak, seeing time in 47 straight games (all games in his career)... Pullen also has the longest active starting streak, along with Colon and Kent, at 14 consecutive games.

 

The win gave Kansas State 11 non-conference wins for the second consecutive season... It marks the first time the team has posted back-to-back seasons of at least 10 non-conference wins since the 1992-93 (10) and 1993-94 (13) seasons... Kansas State posted 90 or more points for the third time this season... The team has now scored 80 or more points eight times, including three consecutive games... The squad has eclipsed 70 or more points in 12 of 14 contests.

 

Kansas State set season-highs for free throws (35) and free throws attempted (46)... It was the most free throws made since connecting on 31 against Florida A&M on Nov. 14... The team also posted 40 or more rebounds for the fourth consecutive game.

 

Kansas State had six players score in double figures for the first time this season led by Fred Brown’s career-high 26 points...It marked Brown’s second career 20-point game and his most since scoring 25 against Xavier on Dec. 31, 2007... Darren Kent registered double figures for the sixth time with 13 points, while Pullen posted double figures for the team-best 10th time in 14 games... Ron Anderson collected double figures for the third time with 11 points... Buchi Awaji turned in double figures for the second consecutive game with 10 points, while Jamar Samuels tallied double figures for the ninth time with 10 points.

 

Darren Kent collected his fourth double-double of the season with 13 points and a team-high 12 rebounds.

 

Kansas State led 49-31 at half this season, marking the seventh straight contest that the team has led at the break... The Wildcats are now 10-1 when leading at the half this season... The team has now scored 40 or more points in the first half seven times... K-State connected on 46.9 percent (15-of-32) in the first half ... The Wildcats converted 11 Cougars turnovers into 18 points during the first half.
