Kansas State vs. Texas A&M
Texas A&M Quotes
Head Coach Mark Turgeon

Opening Statement...
"I thought K-State was great. I don't think we played too bad in the first half - we just didn't make free throws. K-State was phenomenal and (Denis) Clemente was on fire in the first half. I think they played great offensively the whole game and we didn't start the second half good. At halftime I thought we played well but were still down 12. If they shot that the ball like that they are going to be tough to beat."

On tonight's performance...
"We couldn't make shots. We haven't made shots all year and tonight we decided not to guard. We lucked out in a lot of areas but you have to give them a lot of credit. They are big, athletic and they have a nice team."

On this years' team...
"This team has been great for me. They have been very coachable. We've done a lot of good things this year, we've played a very tough schedule and we have had some tough luck. Tonight we just weren't very good. We knew this was going to be tough, but I didn't expect us to play quite that poorly, give them (K-State) credit for that."

On Denis Clemente...
"He got a lot of his three's in transition and he made some pretty tough ones. One time, we just didn't go guard him  after a loose ball. I felt like every mistake we made, like not picking up a loose ball, they made us pay. They made us pay with threes' and we didn't make a lot of free throws in the first half. I felt like it could have been down five or six at halftime if we could have made our free throws. They are good in this building. Clemente was very good tonight. Jacob Pullen didn't have to give them a lot, but he gave then more in the second half. They have a nice team. It is hard to score around the basket against them. I felt like we were able to run everything we needed to run against their pressure, which is a good sign for my team. We just have to make more plays."

Senior Guard Donald Sloan
On Denis Clemente ...
"He came out hot. We knew he could shoot before the game and he had some long ones, some big ones, some loose ball scrambles. He was going tonight, so we really couldn't stop him after that."

On limiting Jacob Pullen during the game...
"It wasn't really our game plan. Our focus was to just play hard-nosed defense on them. We kind of let (Dominique) Sutton roam around and contained Pullen. He wasn't aggressive as he normally is for the most part, but I thought we did a pretty good job in the second half."

On how second-chance rebounds helped K-State...
"They got a lot of offensive rebounds. We didn't get a lot of them, so our second chance points were limited. It seemed like they got almost every opportunity for a second chance point if they missed a shot."
