“There are no doubts; it’s been a tough week for the Buffaloes. I thought it was a good game tonight. It clearly was a great test for us on the road;
Senior Forward Jackie McFarland
On being an underdog...
“I can feel it, especially as a player during the last three years being the underdog to everyone then coming back and getting that ranking it didn’t really mean anything us. It’s a matter of fighting back when other people think we aren’t going to win. Once we get the lead we think hey we did it; we’ve showed people.’ That doesn’t show up in the win-loss column.”
On Shalee Lehning...
“She is a great point guard. They thing about point guards is that being a post player, you really appreciate a point guard because they are a natural leader on the court. The points, a center and forward can score those, a point guard has the ball in their hands and they make the people around them play better. I think she is tough to guard. It’s not her scoring, she gets her team involved and she makes her team better.”
Sophomore Forward Aija Putnina
On getting playing time...“For me it was really frustrating. I really wanted to win the game. I think I worked hard, but not enough. To see all those (K-State) shots go in is just really frustrating not being able to help.”
