Kansas State now leads the all-time series with Iowa State, 130-76... The Wildcats have six consecutive games in the series... The 206 meetings are the fourth-most against one opponent in school history, while the 130 victories are the most against one foe... The Wildcats now hold a 77-22 edge in the series at home, including eight consecutive victories dating back to 2002... The series is now even 13-all since the start of Big 12 play.

 

The Wildcats’ starting line-up included sophomore guard Jacob Pullen, junior guard Denis Clemente, sophomore forward Dominique Sutton, senior forward Darren Kent and junior forward Luis Coln... Kansas State has used this line-up in 19 of 22 games, including the first 10 this season... K-State has posted a 13-6 record with this line-up... Pullen has the longest active games played streak, seeing time in all 55 games in his career... He also has the longest active starting streak, along with Colon, at 22 consecutive games.

 

Kansas State evened its Big 12 record to 4-4 after starting 0-4... It marks the first time in school history (in 11 opportunities) that a team has started league play 0-4 and come back to reach .500... The most wins after starting a league season 0-4 has been five done by the 1983-84 squad (5-9). 

 

Kansas State posted its 100th home victory since the 2001-02 season... The squad is now 100-30 at home in the past eight seasons... The Wildcats have tallied at least 10 or more home wins each year in the span.

 

Kansas State held Iowa State 50 points on the night on 32.7 percent shooting, including 23.8 percent from 3-point range... It marked the seventh time this season that the Wildcats have held an opponent to a score in 50s... The 50 points allowed were the second-fewest allowed this season and lowest since Gardner-Webb (12/14/08) had 48... The 50 points allowed were also the fewest allowed a Big 12 opponent this season and the lowest in Big 12 regular-season play since holding Nebraska to 45 on Jan. 27, 2007... The squad has now held 12 opponents to below 40 percent shooting and 10 have been held to below 30 percent shooting from 3-point range.

 

Junior Denis Clemente led four players in double figures with 15 points... It marked the team-best ninth time that he has led the squad in scoring, including the fifth time in eight Big 12 contests... Clemente has scored in double figures in a team-tying 14 games, including seven of eight league games... Sophomore Jacob Pullen also scored in double figures for the team-tying 14th time with 13 points... Kansas State is now 9-0 this season when both Clemente and Pullen score in double figures, while the team is 11-2 when two of its three primary guards score in double figures.

 

Sophomore Dominique Sutton grabbed his second double-double of the season with 13 points and a team-high 10 rebounds... It marked his first double-double since posting 21 points and 10 rebounds against Wagner (12/30/08).

 

Kansas State out-rebounded Iowa State, 49-32... The Wildcats have now out-rebounded 18 of 22 opponents this season... The 49 rebounds were the third-most this season and the most since tallying 50 against SE Missouri State (11/16/08)... The 17-rebound margin was the largest since out-rebounding Centenary (12/20/08) by 20... The team’s three starting forwards Luis Colon, Darren Kent and Dominique Sutton nearly out-rebounded the entire Iowa State squad with 28 total compared to 32 for the Cyclones.

 

Kansas State led for the third straight game at the half, 27-22... The team is now 14-1 when leading the half... It marked the eighth time this season that the Wildcats have held an opponent to 25 points or less in a first half... The 22 points tie for the fewest yielded a Big 12 foe this season (22 vs. Texas (1/31/09)... Junior Denis Clemente led all scorers with 10 points, while senior Darren Kent added eight points and a team-high six rebounds.
