The Wildcats’ starting lineup on Saturday was freshman guard Jacob Pullen, senior guard Blake Young, senior guard Clent Stewart, freshman forward Bill Walker and freshman forward Michael Beasley... Beasley and Young are the only two Wildcats to start in every game this season... It marks the first time that the Wildcats have used this starting five... K-State improves to 1-0 when featuring this lineup.


The Wildcats extended their home winning streak to eight straight in Big 12 play and 12 straight overall... Kansas State is now 14-1 at home this season... With the win on Saturday, K-State broke an all-time series tie with the Tigers and now lead 114-113... The Wildcats hold a 58-44 all-time edge over Missouri in Manhattan


The attendance for tonight’s game was 12,528... It is the seventh time that Kansas State has sold out this season... Season tickets are sold out for the second straight year.


With the 100-63 victory, the Wildcats recorded their largest conference margin of victory (37) since beating Missouri 111-56 (55) on Jan. 3, 1998... It was the second time K-State has reached 100 points this season and second highest total this season after hanging 101 on Wagner back on Dec. 29, 2007.


Kansas State held a 52-31 advantage at halftime, thanks in large part to a 21-1 run that started at the 11:48 mark... The 52 points scored in the first 20 minutes was the most by the Wildcats in the first half this season and most since hanging 50 on Sacramento State in the opening half of the season opener on Nov. 9... K-State’s largest lead of the half was 25... The Wildcats shot 16-of-30 (53.3 percent) from the field in the half compared to 10-of-27 (37.0 percent) for Missouri... The Wildcats matched the Tigers in three-point percentage (50.0 percent) as K-State shot 3-of-6 and Missouri shot 6-12 beyond the arc... K-State pulled down 21 rebounds, to Missouri’s 10... Furthermore, K-State held an advantage in offensive rebounds (8-4) and points in the paint (18-6).


Kansas State’s largest lead of the contest was by 42 in the second half... Missouri trailed throughout the entire contest... K-State out-rebounded Missouri 47-25... Frank Martin’s team outscored the Tigers 42-16 in the paint and turned 24 Missouri turnovers into 30 points... Kansas State led Missouri in second-chance points (27-11) and fast break points (18-11)... K-State made 30 free throws for the first time since hitting the same number at Kansas on Feb. 7, 2007.


Beasley tied a career high with 40 points on Saturday, his second career 40-point performance... The 40 points are the most scored by Beasley in Big 12 competition, this after being held to his Big 12 low of 17 in the Feb. 2 contest in Columbia... It was the sixth time in K-State history that a player has scored 40 points in a conference game and first since Steve Hinson in 1990... The 40 points ties Mike Evans for fifth most points scored in a conference competition... Beasley was three shy of the Big 12 Conference scoring mark of 43 by Clarence Gilbert (Missouri vs. Iowa State, Jan. 1, 2001)... He also finished the game with 17 boards, becoming the first K-State player ever to record two 40-point, 10-rebound performances... Saturday’s scoring effort pushed Beasley past Norris Coleman’s freshman scoring record of 609 set in 1986... Beasley now has 617 points this season and had previously broken the freshman mark for rebounds in a season... It took Beasley just over five minutes to reach double figures for the 23rd time this season and for his career... He needed just under 14 minutes to record his 21st double-double of the season and of his career, a K-State record... Beasley needs just one double-double to tie Carmelo Anthony’s Division I freshman record of 22 (18 in the regular season)... Beasley has now recorded a double-double in the first half in three games and recorded a double in the second half once... After sinking a pair of free throws with 14.2 seconds left in the first half, Beasley reached the 20-point, 10-rebound plateau for the 19th time this season... Beasley also reached the 30-point, 10-rebound plateau for the ninth time this season... Both marks are tops in the nation.


Walker joined Beasley in double figures with 18 points, including 16 in the first half... Walker now has 19 double-figure scoring games this season and 23 in his career.
