UNC Central Quotes

Head Coach Henry Dickerson

On tonight’s performance...

“We had trouble with their size. K-State is not the most athletic team we have played against but they are on of the bigger and stronger teams that we played against. Their inside game gets good shots which really took a toll on us. Even though they weren’t overly quick I thought they guarded well, kept their hands on you, and kept you where you needed to be.”

On Jamar Briscoe’s performance...

“Briscoe is not a physical guy. He just got tired and worn out trying to beat people off the dribble. Dominique (Sutton) played great defense on him and he is very athletic and physical and that just wore him down. Our problem is when Briscoe is not scoring then we need to find someone to step up and do the scoring.”

On the next game against Texas Pan-America...

“We get home tomorrow and have a day off then get back on the plane, Thursday, and play on Saturday. So it is a never ending story. It’s kind rubber match for us against (Texas Pan-Am). Hopefully our guys will be ready to play. We have about four or five games left and what I would like to do is win more games then we did last year. We have two and we won four last year, so if we play well it could happen.”
