Kansas State now leads the all-time series with Nebraska, 123-93, including a 72-30 all-time series record at home... With the victory, the squad moved to 15-3 at home this season, including 4-3 in Big 12 play... The attendance in Bramlage Coliseum was 12,528... It marked the third sell out at home this season.

 

The Wildcats’ starting line-up included sophomore guard Jacob Pullen, junior guard Denis Clemente, sophomore forward Dominique Sutton, senior forward Darren Kent and junior forward Luis Coln... The Wildcats have used this line-up in 24 of their 29 games this season... K-State now has a 17-7 record with this line-up... Pullen has the longest active games played streak, seeing time in all 62 games in his career... He also has the longest active starting streak, along with Coln, at 29 consecutive games.

 

With the victory on Saturday evening, the squad became the first team to win 20 or more games in three consecutive years since it was done in the 1979-80, 1980-81, and 1981-82 seasons.

 

Kansas State out-rebounded Nebraska 36-25 on Saturday evening... It marked the 23rd time this season the Wildcats have pulled down more boards then their opponent ... Kansas State has now out-rebounded their opponents in six consecutive contests... The Wildcats did grab 21 offensive rebounds, converting those into 18 second-chance points... Buchi Awaji led the squad with a career-high nine rebounds.

 

Sophomore Jacob Pullen led four Wildcats in scoring double figures on Saturday evening with 18 points... It marks the 18th time this season that Pullen has scored in double figures... Junior guard Denis Clemente also scored 14 points during the contest, marking the team-best 19th time this season he has scored in double figures... The Wildcats are now 12-1 when both Pullen and Clemente score in double figures... Pullen and Clemente both dished out five assists during the contest.

 

Buchi Awaji had a notable outing on Saturday evening scoring 10 points and a career-high nine rebounds in the 20 minutes that he saw the floor...  Awaji shot an impressive 4-of-6 (.667) from the field, including 2-of-3 (.667) from three point range... Awaji’s career-high in rebounds betters his previous high of four rebounds, which he has accomplished twice against Oregon (12/07/08) and Idaho State (01/03/09).

 

Kansas State went into the half trailing the Cornhuskers, 30-32... Despite the deficit, the Wildcats out-rebounded their opponents 23-11 and forced eight turnovers... Sophomore Jacob Pullen led the Wildcats with 8 points in the first half... Buchi Awaji and Jamar Samuels led the Wildcats in rebounds, each pulling down six in the first half.

 

Seven different Wildcat players tallied at least one steal during the contest on Saturday evening.
