Nebraska Head Coach Doc Sadler Quotes

On his team’s performance...

“I can’t be prouder of a group of guys giving it everything they’ve got. Like I told them in there, if we continue to (play hard) we are going to be rewarded. It’s hard to understand right now. Give Kansas State credit, they made some plays down the stretch. We had a streak there in the second half where we turned it over four straight times. I think the score might have been 50 to 48, and (K-State) ended up taking the lead, and we never could get it going again. That was a big, big stretch.”

On his team’s rebounding...

“(In) the last three ball games we have taken a beating on the boards. I think it’s other teams saying, We’re going to crash it with five guys.’ We have to try something, but I don’t know what it is.”

On recovering from a loss...

“These guys have given me everything they have, and they’re not being rewarded for it with wins. That’s the frustrating thing. You are going to make mistakes when you play. We are starting to do some good things that we haven’t been doing and it’s a good sign. We could start playing some better offense. Some good things could still happen for us. We have to figure out a way to get this thing on the winning side.”
