Join us for the 26th Annual Powercat Auction on April 23 benefiting the Ahearn Fund! This year's auction promises to be bigger and better than ever, a night you surely won't want to miss.

Listed below are the items available in this year's live auction, many of which are new for this year. You'll have the opportunity to have unique experiences with K-State coaches and staff, such as a Cuban dinner with Men's Basketball Coach Frank Martin, a workout with Strength Coach Scott Greenawalt, a pool party with Football Coach Bill Snyder and staff, and dinner with current and former Athletics Directors. You'll also have a chance to bid on special K-State travel opportunities, such as fishing in Brazil, relaxing in Mazatlan, Washington DC tours, and a VIP trip to a Tampa Bay Buccaneers game.

1. A Long Standing Auction Tradition

Donna and Jack Vanier have generously donated two more very special items to our auction. The first item will be a one-of-a-kind bar chair commemorating the very successful 2010 men's basketball season. Keep in mind, you will have the chance to own the only one like this in the world!! Also, should you desire, the entire team and coaching staff will personally autograph your chair.

This oil painting depicts Terence Newman directing the K-State Marching Band following the terrific win over Nebraska in 2002. This painting measures 3' x 4' and would be great hanging over any K-Stater's fireplace.

4. Fund a Student Athlete

It's less expensive than sending your own child to college - AND THEY WON'T BRING HOME DIRTY LAUNDRY! Here's your chance to support the very people representing your ‘Cats weekin and week out. You get nothing in return but the satisfaction of knowing you're making a great difference in our student athletes' lives. Your dollars will be put directly into improving the technology in our Academic Learning Centers. Again, we stress the fact that you will receive no exotic trips, jewelry, cars, or services - ONLY the knowledge that your pledge has made a significant difference in the lives of our Kansas State student athletes. Our goal is to have 100% participation tonight, and you will have the opportunity to pledge at whatever level you feel comfortable. The increments are as follows: $50 $100 $250 $500

5. Wildcat Sculpture by Dick & Rich Bergen

Individually handcrafted, numbered, and made exclusively for the K-State Alumni Association. Now you can own a sculpted bronze miniature of the wildcat statue overlooking the K-State Alumni Center north terrace. Salina artist Dick Bergen and his son Rich created the original statue. It is mounted on a walnut wood base, and measures 12 inches tall by 18 inches wide.

Party people, look no further. Forty-eight of the best Wildcat fans can enjoy a trip to Columbia, MO, to watch the ‘Cats beat the Tigers on November 13. Enjoy the Frank Martin lifestyle with this dinner for 10. Coach Martin will personally cook and serve an authentic Cuban dinner in his home. The menu will be decided by Coach Martin and his wife Anya, and will include such dishes as ropa vieja, Cuban picadillo, and yellow rice and chicken. 12. Dinner Party in Historic Ellsworth Home with the President

Your party of six will experience dining at its finest with President Kirk Schultz and his wife, Dr. Noel Schulz, in the charming Huycke Mansion in Ellsworth, owned and restored by Purple Power Catbacker, Bernadine Bachman. This elegant seven-course dinner, prepared and served by the Purple Power Catbackers, includes cocktails, your choice of main entrée and all the trimmings, plus fine wine and choice of dessert. 13. Poolside Party with Coach Snyder and Staff

Thirty couples (60 people) will enjoy an evening by the pool with one of the most legendary coaches in college football. Coach Snyder and his staff will autograph the football that will be provided for each of the purchasing couples. To make the evening even more complete, Doug Long of Rambler's Steakhouse will provide heavy hors d'oeuvres including grilled skewers and a complete bar. Jamaican band will be present to add that special touch to an already great evening. So plan now to attend this fabulous evening around Larry and Jodi Theirer's magnificent pool and meet Coach Snyder, his staff and their wives. Date has yet to be determined but will most likely be in July.

Another item becoming a Powercat Auction tradition is the peacock bass fishing trip on the Amazon River. Two people will have the opportunity to travel to Brazil for six and a half days. Your days will be filled with your personal guide in pursuit of the famous peacock bass. Lodging will be provided on a first class paddle wheel boat where you will be served fine cuisine, including local fish, fresh breads, and an abundance of tropical fruit. Many anglers consider the peacock bass the ULTIMATE fishing experience!! After your Rainforest experience concludes, you will be flown Saturday afternoon and evening to Manaus and the fivestar Tropicale Hotel. Kansas State Head Basketball Coach Frank Martin will inspire, motivate, and captivate your next business convention, staff meeting or group convention. Frank's high energy and spicy demeanor is sure to bring about the same in your group with success and company enhancement being the byproduct of this 30-minute presentation and 15-minute Q&A following. His presentation will give you insight into why the Kansas State Basketball program is rapidly climbing the ladder toward national recognition. Date will be mutually agreed upon by both parties. Transportation for Coach Martin within the state of Kansas is included in the purchase. Transportation outside of the state will be the purchaser's responsibility.

Four weeks of personal training specifically designed for your fitness needs under the watchful eye of Scott Greenawalt, strength and conditioning coach for men's and women's basketball. You are practically guaranteed to end up buff and toned under Scott's supervision. Not just for the guys, ladies, this will help you lose those unwanted pounds and get you in shape for summer. Training will be held in the basketball conditioning facility at a time agreed upon by both parties.

Four couples will enjoy a complete catered meal with President Kirk Schulz, his wife Dr. Noel Schulz with Women's Basketball Head Coach Deb Patterson, and the entire Women's Basketball staff. Following a great meal, bidders will be intrigued by an interactive dinner mystery performance provided by Whodunit Capers, a local troupe of actors. You may be the one that solves the mystery and is awarded with a women's team autographed basketball.

18. One of a Kind "KSU Model A"

The 2010 Powercat Auction will be your first and only chance to own a Ford Model A decked out in true Wildcat fashion. This replica of the famous Model A sits on a Ford Falcon frame and has had the final restoration overseen by Russ Briggs of KansasStateCars.com. The 4-cylinder engine is capable of delivering you in style not only to Bill Snyder Family Stadium but nearly any other Big XII stadium to which you are brave enough to drive it. 19. Progressive Party with Current and Past Athletic Directors

The 2010 Powercat Auction will bring back a popular event! A stretch limo will pick up eight KStaters and proceed to four current and past Athletic Directors' homes. Dick and Wan Towers will kick the evening off with cocktails in their beautiful home that overlooks Manhattan. Then on to the Colbert Hills condo of Ernie and Bonnie Barrett for the second course of delicious salads. Max and Lynn Urick will cook a “mean” charcoal steak for the main course. Finally, your limo will deliver you to John and Mary Lawrence Currie's home for dessert. Fun, K-State athletic history, friendship, and wonderful food will make this an evening to remember. 22. Washington D.C., White House Tour, Pentagon Tour, Capitol Tour, and YOU!!!

Two lucky Wildcats will probably not be elected to Congress, but after the completion of this fantastic four-day, three-night trip, they will feel like they have seen our nation's capital in the most unique and personal way. The three nights will be spent in the Washington Marriott at Metro Center hotel (pending availability), situated in the heart of Washington, D.C. Personal tours will be arranged through a member of the Kansas Congressional Delegation's Office and will include the White House, the Pentagon, and the U.S. Capitol. A member of the National Park Service will lead a personal guided and narrated tour of all the national monuments. This is a once-in-a-lifetime experience. Your child can be a tee boy or girl for the game against our Big XII opponent on November 6. Sorry, Dad, you can't take your child's place, but you can accompany him or her while on the sideline. Two sideline passes are provided for one child and one adult only (these passes will get you into the game).
