Kansas State falls to 22-11 with today’s loss to Kansas... The Wildcats’ 22 victories are their most since the 1987-88 squad went 25-9 and reached the Elite Eight of the NCAA Tournament.

Today’s loss is the third of the season to Kansas... The Wildcats are now 7-12 all-time in conference tournament games vs. the Jayhawks, including an 0-6 mark at the Big 12 tournament.

K-State is now 0-2 in Big 12 semifinal games... Today’s appearance was the Wildcats’ first semifinal appearance at the Big 12 tournament since 1999 and just its second all time... Kansas State also fell in 1999 Big 12 semis to Kansas.

Kansas State’s starting lineup this afternoon consisted of: seniors Lance Harris (guard), Akeem Wright (guard) and Cartier Martin (forward), as well as junior forward David Hoskins, and junior guard Clent Stewart... It is third straight game that this season this group has started together and just the third time this season that K-State has used this lineup ... Harris has now started 28 games this season and has appeared in 91 straight contests... Wright has started 42 games in his career, including 21 this season and 20 in a row... Martin tallied just his third start since Jan. 13 at Missouri... Martin has now started 74 career games... It was the 55th-straight start of Hoskins’ career... Stewart has started 22 games this season, including seven straight... The group started in K-State’s regular-season finale win over Oklahoma on March 3 as well as the Wildcats’ quarterfinal win over Texas Tech on Friday.

Head coach Bob Huggins is now 1-1 in Big 12 tournament games... His career conference tournament record now stands at 31-10.

Cartier Martin’s 17 points marked the 17th straight game that the senior has scored in double figures... He now has 1,506 career points and stands sixth on K-State’s career scoring chart.

Lance Harris finished with 16 points and has now hit twin figures in five of his last six games... Twelve of his points came on four three pointers, marking the second straight game that the senior has knocked down four treys... Harris holds the K-State record for most 3-pointers in a Big 12 tournament game with four.

Akeem Wright’s 12 points and 10 rebounds marked just the second time this season that the senior has collected a double-double... His last came in a 10-point, 13-rebound effort in K-State’s season opener vs. William & Mary.

Clent Stewart dished out seven assists to tie his season high... He also had seven in the win over New Mexico.
