Kansas State 58 (21-11, 9-7 Big 12), Texas 61 (22-10, 9-7 Big 12)



Kansas State moved to 27-31 all-time in Big 8/12 Championships and 7-13 in Big 12 Championship contests... K-State also moved to 8-12 in quarterfinal games in league tournament history, 2-6 in the Big 12 era.


The Wildcats’ starting line-up included sophomore guard Jacob Pullen, junior guard Denis Clemente, sophomore forward Dominique Sutton, senior forward Darren Kent and junior forward Luis Coln... The Wildcats have used this line-up in 27 of their 32 games this season... K-State now has a 17-9 record with this line-up... Pullen has the longest active games played streak, seeing time in all 64 games in his career... He also has the longest active starting streak, along with Coln, at 32 consecutive games.


Sophomore Jacob Pullen led the Wildcats in scoring with 21 points... He has now scored in double figures on 21 times this season.

Junior Denis Clemente added 10 points in the contest and K-State is now 13-3 when both Clemente and Pullen score in double figures... Clemente reached double figures for the 22nd time this season.


Jamar Samuels notched double figures for the 15th time this season with 11 points on Thursday.


Texas did manage to out-rebound the Wildcats, 40-37, but K-State did pick up 20 offensive boards on the day to maintain its Big-12 leading margin on the offensive end.


The Wildcats forced 22 turnovers on the afternoon, including 12 in the first half... K-State has now forced 20 or more turnovers in 10 contests this season, including both contests against Texas. In two games against the Longhorns, the Wildcats have forced 42 turnovers.


Kansas State went into the half leading the Longhorns, 29-27... Jacob Pullen led all scorers with 10 points in the first half... Darren Kent led the Wildcats with five rebounds.
