Cheer Squad to Host Two Camps in April

MANHATTAN, Kan. - The Kansas State cheer squad will host two camps the weekend of the Powercat Auction and Purple/White Spring Game in April, one in Manhattan and another in Kansas City, as kids ages 4-12 will have the opportunity to learn from the Wildcat squad.

The first camp will be held in Manhattan on Friday, April 24, from 6 p.m. until 8:15 p.m., in the Football Indoor Facility, while the second camp opportunity will be held at Kansas City's Piper High School on Saturday, April 25 from 9 a.m. until 11:15 a.m. prior to the Spring Game at 3 p.m. in Kansas City's Sporting Park.

The camp, which has a "Wildcats Under Construction" theme, will cost either $40 (Manhattan camp) or $50 (Kansas City camp) per camper and includes a camp shirt, hard hat and a visit from Willie the Wildcat. The deadline to register is 8 p.m., Friday, April 10, and campers are urged to register now as spots will fill quickly.

Children attending should wear comfortable clothing and tennis shoes and are also asked to arrive 15 minutes prior to the start of the camp for check-in.

Tickets to the April 25 spring football game at Sporting Park are not included in the camp price, but a limited number of tickets are available until April 1 to camp attendees at a discounted group rate.
