MANHATTAN, Kan. -- Kansas State women's soccer head coach Mike Dibbini announced the addition of Miranda Larkin to the K-State roster.

Larkin is the fourth member of the K-State women's soccer roster, joining forwards Krista Haddock and Elizabeth Hernandez and midfielder Madison Wedekind. The Wildcats' first season of competition is set for the fall of 2016.

"We are very excited about adding Miranda Larkin to the program," said Dibbini. "She brings a wealth of experience and leadership to a young program. She is a very good goalkeeper which is an important backbone to the program and has Division I experience and knows the Big 12 very well. On her visit, she demonstrated she could be a great leader to help be a huge part of building the program."

Larkin joins the program following two seasons at Oklahoma. The goalkeeper from Rockwall, Texas, saw action in four games in the 2013 season, registering a 1-2-0 record with one shut out and a goals against average of 2.58 in just under 140 minutes of action. Larkin redshirted in the 2014 season and will be a redshirt junior when K-State begins play in the 2016 season.

In her high school career at Rockwall High School, Larkin was a four-year letter winner for the Yellow Jackets under head coach Melissa Garcia. She was an ESPN High School Top 150 recruit and was ranked as the No. 20 prospect in the state of Texas by Top Drawer Soccer. In 2012, she earned Texas Association of Soccer Coaches (TASCO) All-State Second Team honors and was named a TASCO All-Region First Team recipient.

In her club career, Larkin received the Golden Glove award for best goalkeeper at the U.S. Youth Soccer National Championship and was selected to the Elite Clubs National League (ECNL) Final Four All-Event Team in 2010.
