Deadline for Powercat Auction Approaching

MANHATTAN, Kan. The K-State Athletics Department will hold the 25th annual Powercat Auction on Friday, May 1, at Bramlage Coliseum, kicking off a busy Spring Game/Fan Fest weekend in Manhattan.  The deadline for tickets to the event is Friday, April 24. returns as the event’s presenting sponsor and is offering a Powersports Prize Package valued at over $25,000. This package will include a personal watercraft with trailer, a Harley Sportster motorcycle and a 4-wheeler, all customized purple and silver, complete with the 25th anniversary logo. 

Tickets for the event are $75 each and include one ticket to the Powersports package sponsored by Additional drawing tickets may be purchased for $25 or six for $100. The event price also includes a catered meal by Rambler's Steakhouse, which will be served from 6-8 p.m. Doors open at 5:30 p.m.

Free childcare is also offered with the ticket as the K-State equestrian team will again be working the childcare area, which will be located in the Legends Room. This service offers the kids a great opportunity to get to know other future Wildcats, while enjoying pizza, movies and a visit by Willie. The event, which features a live auction, includes trips to exotic locations and several packages featuring Wildcat sports teams, incoming President Dr. Kirk Schulz, numerous authentic autographed jerseys and more. The Powercat Auction is the athletic department’s largest single-night fundraiser, earning nearly $320,000 in 2008, all of which directly supports the Ahearn Scholarship Fund and K-State’s 350 student-athletes.
