K-State Day at the K Set for June 9

MANHATTAN, Kan.
– Kansas State fans will have the opportunity to fill Kauffman Stadium on Sunday, June 9, as the Kansas City Royals host the Houston Astros for K-State Day at The K.

Fans will be able to pick up season ticket information for K-State football and volleyball home seasons at the game, which is set for a 1:10 p.m., first pitch. Kansas State University Admissions representatives will also be on hand to answer questions from prospective students.

The first 1,000 Wildcat fans who bring their K-State Day discounted ticket to the K-State table located just inside Gate B directly to the right of the spiral ramp will receive a limited edition purple, silver and white KC Royals K-State Cap. Gates open at 11:30 a.m.

In addition, 2013 Big 12 Coach of the Year Bruce Weber will make an appearance on FOX Sports Kansas City.

Tickets are priced as low as $12 for the Hy-Vee Outfield with Hy-Vee Box priced at $15, and Dugout Plaza at $30 each. Season tickets for both football and volleyball are currently on-sale in the K-State Athletics Ticket Office at (800) 221.CATS or online at www.kstatesports.com/tickets. Men’s basketball season tickets will go on sale Monday, June 24. Fans may also join the season ticket waiting list by calling the ticket office before the on-sale date.

The eight-game home schedule for the Big 12 Championship football team kicks off on Friday, August 30 with a primetime, nationally-televised home game on FOX Sports 1 against North Dakota State at 7 p.m.

The 13-match home slate for the NCAA Tournament volleyball squad opens on Friday, September 6 with the K-State Invitational. Volleyball season tickets can be purchased for as low as $50 for general admission seating with an Early Bird special for online purchases available until Friday, May 31.
