K-Statesports.com Adds New Features

MANHATTAN, Kan. The Kansas State department of athletics has implemented a new look to its official website, k-statesports.com, and added new features that will be beneficial to fans world-wide who are interested in Kansas State athletics.

One of the most distinctive features will be the addition of the K-State Pix photo store, which will provide fans the opportunity to purchase file photos from the athletics department and will include past and present photos of athletes, coaches, fans, celebrations and facilities as well as custom framing options.

Also, fans can find feature stories on their favorite Wildcat team or student-athlete here at k-statesports.com as the new “K-State in the News” feature will highlight and link K-State news stories from across the region and country.

Online auctions will also become more frequent here online as fans will get the chance to bid on select K-State memorabilia and autographed items, such as the Michael Beasley life-sized cutout now on the auction block, throughout the year.

The Powercat Passport option, which provides subscribers exclusive access to comprehensive video coverage of K-State athletics, has been a big success over the past few years and new features are in store for 2008-09 as videos pertaining to the 1998 No. 1 season and Ring of Honor inductees will be available this fall.

K-State will continue to provide up-to-the minute and exclusive coverage from the most current releases, media guide, game notes, recaps, schedules, rosters, statistics and biographies here at k-statesports.com as well as the video-driven inside.k-statesports.com site that includes special up-close features, all-access clips, behind-the-scenes vignettes and highlights.

The official sites, which were designed by the K-State Athletics Department of Internet Services, are maintained by a combination of the Internet Services, Sports Information and Marketing and Promotions departments, all divisions of the Kansas State Athletics Department.
