MANHATTAN, Kan. – K-State Athletics and Manhattan-based GTM Sportswear announced today an expanded and innovative partnership that will make all of the company’s K-State Super Store locations the official merchandise vendor for K-State Athletics.

The affiliation not only will provide the department a branded off-site store at the K-State Super Store’s flagship location on McCall Road in Manhattan, but the former Cats Closet store at Bill Snyder Family Stadium will now be known as the K-State Super Store at the Stadium.

“We have great respect for Dave Dreiling and his business acumen and look forward to this new partnership, which will benefit all of our loyal fans, and growing with Dave and the continued development of the K-State Super Store,” said Athletics Director John Currie.

As part of this new five-year agreement, GTM will be finishing the space allocated for a fan gear store in the new West Stadium Center and will have exclusive merchandising sales rights at all K-State Athletics venues. K-State Athletics will receive 8-12 percent of all purchases from all area K-State Super Store locations. In addition, GTM will also continue to pay annual royalty fees to LRG, K-State’s official merchandise licensee, for each product that is produced.

The new store, located inside the main entrance of the West Stadium Center, will provide Wildcat fans an improved centralized location for their shopping needs and be almost twice the size of the former west side Cats Closet location. It will offer an expanded selection of merchandise and extended hours. There will continue to be an east side shopping location for fans at Bill Snyder Family Stadium on home football game days.

Fans who visit any K-State Super Store can now do so with the confidence they are shopping at the official store of K-State Athletics.

“This new partnership with K-State Athletics is exciting on many levels. True K-State fans will appreciate that purchases made at any K-State Super Store location directly benefit the athletic teams and programs we all so dearly love,” said Dreiling.

Since 1989, GTM has outfitted more than 1.1 million teams at over 90,000 schools in the U.S. and Canada, and has grown to include over 900 employees. GTM is the largest private employer of current K-State students, and one of the largest employers of K-State graduates. Its internship program, which partners with the university, allows students to gain real-world experience with a global company while balancing collegiate studies and staying involved in campus activities.

Ahearn Fund members will continue to receive store discounts which will be redeemable at all K-State Super Store locations. For more information on the K-State Super Store, visit www.kstategear.com.
