Kansas State Head Coach Ron Prince Quotes

On Oklahoma State...

“I anticipated this being a really terrific game. I tried to compare this team, offensively, to the 2002 St. Louis Rams The Greatest Show on Turf’. They have really changed as a team and have had terrific resolve since their loss against Troy. They’ve been able to win in a shootout against Texas Tech and against ourselves here. They have been able win some tough games in some tough situations. My hat is off to them. They are a terrific team. We came to their place and we gave it a good fight, but it wasn’t enough.”

On the way his team played...

“We had those things that cause you to lose. For example, a kickoff return for a touchdown. We had an opportunity to go in and extend our lead, and we had a turnover and allowed them to come back and answer. With all that said, I am very proud of our players, and I am very proud of our organization, how we conducted ourselves and how we handled our business. But we came up short today. As a head coach, I have to take responsibility for those things that caused us to come up short today, but I thought that our kids gave it a great effort today and I am very proud of them.”

On Oklahoma State’s final drive and OSU quarterback Zac Robinson...

“We were unable to get the kick to pin them in their end. This is one of those situations where this is a terrific quarterback. He is as good as there is in the league. He has some very unique skills. He can run like a running back. He can pass, but he has a very good

understanding of the game. All it took was one mistake for us to get the wrong match up on the wrong player, and he was able to find him. That happened a number of times in the game. That is just to his credit. That is not to discredit anything that we did. We used a variety of coverages to get our match ups the way we wanted them. He was able to pick them apart.”

On OSU offensive coordinator Larry Fedora...

“I think that Larry Fedora is one of the best offensive coordinators in college football. I have made that clear. He is the guy that set the standard for how to beat Florida State. All these teams that beat Florida State nowadays, he is the one that exposed how to do that when he was at Florida. He is one of the best offensive coordinators in the country.”
