Baylor Player Quotes

Senior LB Nick Moore

On his Baylor defense...

“I think we played pretty well in the first half, but we couldn’t finish in the second half.”

On K-State’s offense...

“Their offense executes pretty well.  Their throws were right on the money, and (they had some) good catches.  Number 27, Nelson, had a really good game, and came up with some key catches that really hurt us.  We couldn’t stop him.”

On Baylor’s rushing defense...

“I think we did alright for the most part, except at the end.  They kind of pounded on us a little bit, but the game was virtually over at that point.”

Sophomore QB Blake Szymanski

On preparation this week...

“I was not very prepared I only had 3 snaps all week in practice.  The other two quarterbacks couldn’t get the job done so I was put in and tried to do my job to the best of my ability.”

On Baylor’s turnovers...

“I think we had a total of seven turnovers, and that is not going to win you ball games when you keep giving up the ball.  We really need to protect the ball better.”

On K-State’s defensive pressure...

“I think or protection up front was the worst we have had all year.  They throw a lot of different things at you.  Going against of 3-4 defense is totally different than what we are used to seeing.  I think the guys up front had a little trouble with that, because they are always bringing someone at you.”

Junior WR Thomas White

On Baylor’s offensive performance...

“You just have to look at the scoreboard to see.  I don’t even know how many turnovers we had, but if you turn the ball over, you can’t win any games.  There were spots in the game where we made plays, but not nearly enough.”
