Kansas State’s starting lineup on Sunday afternoon was senior guard Kelsey Nelson, senior guard Shalee Lehning, senior forward Marlies Gipson , junior guard Kari Kincaid and junior forward Ashley Sweat... This unit did not start a single game together during the 2007-08 season.


The attendance at Bramlage Coliseum for the contest was 2,925... Kansas State averaged an attendance of 4,305 through 14 home games in Bramlage in 2007-08.


Kansas State is now 8-0 all-time versus Washburn with Sunday’s 66-47 win against the Lady Blues... This was the second straight meeting between the Wildcats and Lady Blues since 2003.


The Wildcats held a 24-22 advantage over the Lady Blues at halftime on Sunday... Kansas State was 20-3 during the 2007-08 season when leading at halftime... In last season’s exhibition between the two teams, K-State held a 40-21 halftime lead.


Ashley Sweat notched a game-high 17 points on 8-of-16 shooting... This was her highest point production since Feb. 20, 2008 against Oklahoma when she had 25... Sweat also added five rebounds, two assists and a block to her final stat line... This was her highest total of rebounds since she pulled down six at Nebraska on Jan. 30, 2008.


Marlies Gipson finished Sunday with a game-high with 15 rebounds, marking the first time she has tallied double figures in rebounds since Feb. 9, 2008 against Kansas when she tallied 16... Gipson registered nine rebounds in the first half... During the 2007 exhibiton between these teams, Gipson hauled in eight rebounds in 25 minutes of action... She also added eight points and a game-high five blocks to her ledger... The five blocks were the most since Feb. 13, 2008 at Iowa State when she recorded six.


Shalee Lehning carded a near double-double with 14 points, nine assists and six rebounds... Her total of nine assists is her highest since Feb. 27, 2008 against Nebraska.
