Kansas State Player Quotes

On K-State’s post play...
“Coach (Patterson) talked about how we need to be aggressive, and I think that is a key to us winning. When we get our posts (the ball), we can work our guards around our posts. I think that opens up not only the post game inside, but the guards as well. If you think you have an advantage over the post player, why not be aggressive?”

On being 8-0...
“This is a team (that) last year went 5-5 going into Christmas break. I think a lot of the games we were right there, and we just couldn’t find a way to win. That is the difference between last year and this year. Even if we aren’t playing our best, we are finding ways to win.”

On battling back after a rough start...
“I actually had flash backs to the Texas game last year, but you try not to think about that. I looked up at the scoreboard and it was 13 to two. Our only thought was that we have to battle back. We already dug ourselves a hole. I think we play well enough as a team together if we are firing on all cylinders, (showing) that we can definitely come back from that. We showed that tonight, and I think it shows how much fight this team has in them. Hopefully we can just carry that through the rest of the year.”
