Kansas State is now 1-0 all-time against Wagner... The Wildcats have an 8-3 record all-time against members of the Northeast Conference.

 

The paid attendance at Bramlage Coliseum was 11,402... The actual attendance at the game was 10,114.

 

The Wildcats’ starting lineup Saturday afternoon was senior guard Clent Stewart, senior guard Blake Young, junior forward Andre Gilbert, freshman forward Bill Walker and freshman forward Michael Beasley.

 

Kansas State owned a 46-21 advantage at halftime... The 22.9 percent field goal percentage for Wagner in the first half was the lowest of any Kansas State opponent so far this season in one half of play...The Wildcats largest lead of the first half was by 27 with 1:29 to play... Kansas State shot 23 free throws in the first half compared to just six for Wagner.

 

Stewart posted 12 points in the contest, all of them coming in the first half... It was the second straight game that Stewart reached the double-figure mark in the first half... The senior guard has now scored in double figures in his last four games, the longest stretch of consecutive double-figure games in his career... His previous best was a three-game stretch last season against Kansas, at Colorado and at Oklahoma State, which spanned from Feb. 24-27.

Kansas State was 23-for-32 (71.9 percent) from the charity stripe on the afternoon... The Wildcats have now made 20 or more free throws in four consecutive games... Kansas State has made 20 or more free throws in seven of 12 games this year.

 

Beasley scored 21 points and grabbed 10 rebounds in the game... It was his 12th double-double in as many games as a Wildcat... His 12 double-doubles moves him into a tie for ninth place all-time with Jack Parr (1957) and Willie Murrell (1963) for double-doubles in a season.

 

Walker scored 27 points on 9-for-14 shooting from the field... The freshman was hit a career best three three-pointers in four attempts.

 

With Walker’s 27 points and Beasley’s 21, it was only the second time this season that two Wildcats reached 20 points in the same game... The other time was against Sacramento State when Beasley hit 32 and Young scored 22.

 

Ron Anderson scored a career-best 14 points in the contest... His previous high was 11 against UCF on Nov. 23... Anderson was 5-for-6 from the field and 4-for-7 from the line... He added six rebounds on the afternoon.

 

Dominique Sutton saw his first career action as a Wildcat with 12 minutes played... The freshman forward totaled 10 points in his debut, shooting a perfect 4-for-4 from the field and 2-for-2 from the free-throw line.

 

Kansas State’s 101 points were the most they have scored this season... It marked the third time they have scored 90 or more this season and second consecutive time... The last time the Wildcats scored 90 or more in consecutive games was 1997 (Dec. 6 against Coastal Carolina and Dec. 10 against Wichita State)... The 101 points were the most since Nov. 18, 2006, when the Wildcats dropped 101 on Tennessee Tech... It’s the Wildcats 35th game in history with 100 or more points.

 

Kansas State tied season-highs in assists (22) and steals (12)... They also hit season-highs in field goals made (36) and field goals attempted (74).
