ITA Summer Circuit Set for July 1-3

MANHATTAN, Kan.
– The Intercollegiate Tennis Association’s Summer Circuit will hold a tournament in Manhattan July 1-3, offering a chance for tennis players from the high school level to adults the opportunity to take part in one of the fastest growing events in all of tennis.

The 2016 ITA Summer Circuit will be at the Mike Goss Tennis Stadium during the first weekend of July and feature open divisions for men’s singles and doubles and women’s singles and doubles for high schoolers, college players and adults.

The entry fee for both singles and doubles is $60, while all participants must be an active ITA member. To sign up for ITA membership, click here.

For spectators, admission is free while parking for Saturday and Sunday will located near the Mike Goss Tennis Stadium and Kansas State Rec Center. On July 1, participants and fans are asked to park in the east lot of the Bill Snyder Family Stadium.

The 2016 ITA Summer Circuit will feature 50 tournaments spread across 24 states, up from 36 in 2015. The circuit runs for six weekends, beginning the last weekend in June and continuing through the last weekend in July. Players that advance out of the qualifying tournaments will head to Bloomington, Indiana, to take part in the ITA Summer Nationals, held August 13-16 at Indiana University.

The ITA Summer Circuit, which began in 1993, provides college tennis players, along with junior players and alumni, the opportunity to compete in organized events during the summer months. All of this year’s events are held on college campuses. For a complete list of sites, click here.
