K-State Adds Another Golfer for 2017-18

MANHATTAN, Kan. – The Kansas State women’s golf team added a new signee as head coach Kristi Knight has announced that Darby Deans will join the Wildcats for the 2017-18 season.

“I am thrilled to be adding a player and person like Darby to our roster,” Knight said. “She possesses talent, great practice habits and a competitive spirit. I am really excited about our 2017 class.”

Deans, the fourth addition to the 2017-18 signing class, was the 2016 and 2017 Texas Distract 9 5A Individual Champion and was the 2016 Texas Regional Silver Medalist. The Frisco, Texas native tied for first in the 2015 TJGT Holiday Classic and set the Liberty School tournament record with a score of 66. Deans is also a member of the National Honor Society. 

The Wildcats will compete in the Big 12 Championship, April 21-23, at Dominion Country Club in San Antonio, Texas.
